Job Description


We are seeking a Tax Manager for our Seattle client- to support Mergers & Acquisitions. The ideal candidate will:

• act as tax advisor for business groups supporting acquisitions, investments, and corporate restructurings, including due diligence, negotiation, structuring and post-close integration matters
• act as tax advisor for business groups supporting risk management, lending, and potentially new business lines to ensure tax compliant and efficient worldwide operations 
• advise, coordinate and problem-solve across a multi-functional M&A team, including corporate development, legal, HR, accounting, finance and business teams to achieve complex project goals
• research and document federal (domestic and international) tax issues, including coordination with external advisors and support financial modeling and presentations of tax impacts of transactional planning
• implement and execute organizational processes to help the Tax M&A team meet its goal of best-in-class post-closing compliance and integration
• support and assist in project managing internal restructurings of Amazon business units and other special projects
• keep current on all legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting the tax aspects of acquisitions, investments, and corporate restructurings

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in a Mergers and Acquisitions team, focusing on the tax aspects of acquisitions, investments and post-closing integration
• Planning, researching and coordinating corporate tax projects, with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions
• Providing tax advice with respect to corporate tax issues
• Coordinate communications with business teams, internal tax functional subject matter experts, and create and support cross functional communication tools

Basic Qual

  • 4-6 years of experience
    • BA/BS degree required
    • Juris Doctor required

Preferred Qual

  • Working knowledge of corporate tax laws, including domestic and international, state and local
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex tax laws in a business settin
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem solving ability
  • Ability to multi-task between large, complex projects
  • Experience in working in a large public accounting, law firm, or large multi-national corporation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong technical writing and federal/international tax research skills
  • Strong experience in mergers and acquisitions and outbound taxation concepts
  • Advanced Excel and modeling skills




Job Requirements

Requirements :

• Accounting Bachelor’s Degree, or related field required
• Preferred Master of Tax
• Four years minimum experience in a public accounting firm or related experience
• CPA required
• Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
• Preferred experience in supervising and training Staff and Seniors
• Require strong organizational techniques
• Need to be highly motivated and experienced in simultaneously managing multiple client engagements
• Need to attain exposure, visibility and recognition within chosen industry specialization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
